Basic Knowledge On Composition Technique For Camera

Taking a photograph is easy but it’s also about how you want the picture to turn out like.

Your composition is important.

The most basic composition is the Rules Of Thirds.

What is the Rule of Thirds and How to Use it to Improve Your Photos

Rules of thirds are broken down into 9 parts.

The subject will be placed in the intersections or along the lines which makes your photo become more balanced.

Just like the photos below.

Leading Lines

Leading lines helps to create powerful images with a strong visual impact.

It leads your eye from one part of the scene to another. This is usually achieved when you lead your eye to focus towards the main subject or focal point within the scene.

It invites you to follow the line through the picture.

Framing

Framing refers to the border of your photograph. Everything that is “within the frame” is what you will see in your final image.

The concept behind framing is frame provides another layer to your photograph and photo context.

There is an unlimited supply of elements that could be used to create a frame. Most common elements that are used such as windows, doorways, pulled back curtains, branches, fences, tunnels etc.

Patterns & Repetition

One of the most basic concepts in the world of art is Repetition.

Repeating something many times will become a pattern. It can be found all around us like a row of trees, a field of sunflowers, or a line of an object/subject.

You can either emphasize it or break it.

If you choose to emphasize it, you can attempt to zoom in close enough to the pattern that it fills the frame and makes the repetition seem like it’s bursting out.

If there is a broken repetition image, it might include adding a contrasted object (shape, texture or color) or removing one of the repeated objects.
